GAIL Limited has revised the completion schedule of its Durgapur-Haldia and Dhamra-Haldia sections within the Integrated Jagdishpur-Haldia-Bokaro-Dhamra Pipeline Project to March 2027 due to delays caused by limited availability of hindrance-free fronts. The company confirmed that no extra investment will be required for these extensions and is in process of obtaining approval from PNGRB.
The Durgapur-Haldia section of the pipeline project has an authorized/under execution length of 3,345 km, with 3,280 km completed and 3,119 km commissioned to date. The revised completion schedule for this section is set for March 2027.
Similarly, the Dhamra-Haldia pipeline section, authorized/under execution for 253 km, has seen 244 km completed and 150 km commissioned. Its completion schedule has also been revised to March 2027.
GAIL's Board of Directors approved these revisions in their meeting held on October 30, 2026. The delay is attributed solely to difficulties in securing continuous hindrance-free fronts along the pipeline routes.
